Teeth Pictures

Here is the update from a couple of weeks ago...Jack got his two bottom teeth in at the same time. They barely broke through the skin so it was hard to get a good picture of them. Today, with the help of Gabe, I finally got a good picture. :)

Rolling Over!!

Each morning when I grab Jack out of his crib I tell him he grew overnight...this morning was no exception! Gabe has been working with Jack on getting him to roll over. He rolled over yesterday, but by the time I grabbed the video camera Jack was done playing. This morning Jack woke up at 4:30 am (which isn't normal...I think it's his teething, but that's a different post) so I got up and fed him and put him back to bed. At about 5:15 am I can hear him talking in his crib so I roll over and look at the monitor and find him on his stomach! He had rolled over and couldn't figure out how to get back! I went into his room and rolled him back over and tried to soothe him and then left the room only to get back into my room and see him on his stomach again. At that point I knew I wasn't going to be getting any more sleep...he had discovered a new trick and was so excited. From that point on we worked on sitting up in my bed and talking before getting up and making coffee. :)  Jack amazes me with what he figures out each day. He is almost to the point where he can sit up unassisted...as soon as I figure out how to post a video I will share. :)
Notice the fingers in his mouth...that's why I think he's getting more teeth in.

5 Months Old

Jack is officially 5 months old today! I can't believe how quickly time has passed! We really couldn't have asked for a better baby. Each day he does something new that makes me laugh. At this point in his life he is making a new noise everyday and he loves for everyone to hear it! He loves taking baths and being naked. He is almost to the point where he can roll over. He can get his hips turned over but can't figure out what to do with his upper body. I swear he is going to crawl before he can roll over. He loves eating his rice cereal and he looks like such a big boy in his high chair. He cut his first 2 teeth about a week ago and we feel he is getting some more in along his upper gums...bring on the Tylenol! He is obsessed with his jumper! He could jump all day and loves when Roxy comes up and gives him kisses while he is in it. He has been a trooper with my volleyball schedule for the past couple of months. He has come to many practices and games with me and doesn't mind all the girls playing with him. :)  Gabe and I are truly blessed to have such a wonderful little guy and we look forward to what the upcoming months bring!

Teeth!!

Jack sprouted his first 2 teeth today!! I'm so glad they finally came in because he was such a MONSTER all weekend! Poor guy must have been in so much pain. :(  His bottom 2 teeth broke through the skin today and he has been a much happier baby since. I will post pictures in the next couple of days when they become a little easier to photograph.

Gabe's 31st Birthday

Gabe turned 31 this weekend and we celebrated with family and friends. Scott, Joy, and Aiden came into town which is always an excuse to party! :) We had a great weekend, except for the fact that the birthday boy had to work. :(  We started Saturday off with breakfast at The Good Egg followed by mimosas as the house. Jack was not in a party mood on Saturday. We think he is teething because he was coughing all day and not able to take a nap. As soon as he got some Tylenol he went right to sleep! I wish he would have been in a better mood so he could have played more with his cousin Aiden...
We topped the night off with a house full of friends, food, booze and birthday cake. Too bad Gabe had to go to bed at 9pm. :(
We had a bit of a rivalry going on in the house...

Love this picture because it looks like Jack is trying to eat Aiden

The birthday boy! :)

Jello shots!

Didn't want to burn the house down with 31 candles. :)

4 Month Well Check

Jack had his 4 month well check visit with the doctor yesterday...well, it's really 4 months and 2 weeks but we really aren't that picky. Gabe took Jack to the appointment since I had practice (good planning on my part since shots were involved!). Jack was a champ--he got stuck with the first shot and got the pouty lip and Gabe told him he was ok and then he decided he was ok. He is such a tough little guy. He weighed in at 18 lbs 12 oz, 95% for weight. He measured 26.5 inches long, 88% for height. His head measured 44 cm which was 84%. He is a very proportionate big kid!
Some of my favorite pictures taken lately:
Jack has figured out how to move around in his crib. I put the bumpers back in after I found him like this in the morning. Notice his feet...

He LOVES his jumper!

How I found him sleeping this morning. I'm thinking he will be a bed hog later on in life.

Spring Training

Jack and I went to our first spring training game together. We had Amy, Alyssa, and Brendan with us which was fun. Alyssa and Brendan were decked out in their Diamondback gear and even made signs! Jack did about as good as I expected considering the heat. I was hoping our seats would be in the shade but they weren't. We left in the 5th because Jack was super tired and everyone cheering in the stands was startling him. Plus he was getting hungry and I get the mom of the year award because I left his formula at home. :( I had his bottle full of water but the formula never made it in the diaper bag. I was not a happy person when I realized that...Before we left the complex we met up with Gabe and he took Brendan back into the club house where he got a Mariner's hat (he was wearing his Diamondbacks hat and Gabe made him take it off), a baseball, a phiten necklace and an apple. (Don't know why someone gave him an apple but he ate it as we were leaving the field!) It was a fun afternoon and a nice way to end spring break.
