8 months old

Jack is 8 months old today! He has turned into such a curious little guy. Whether you are holding him or he is exploring on the ground he is always getting into something he shouldn't be. He has really perfected his crawling technique and boy is he fast! He loves going after remotes, cell phones, and flip flops! I always have to put our shoes up on the couch so he doesn't get them. Another thing he has recently found is the dog bowls...it's not fun trying to keep him away from those!
Another thing Jack loves to do is stand! He will crawl over to me and pull himself up on his knees so I can help him stand. I put him close to the couch and we use his jumper to give him something to grab. This kid is strong and I predict in a couple of months he will be walking!
I just noticed this afternoon that Jack got another tooth in! This makes #7!! It is on his bottom right side next to his middle tooth that has already come in. I couldn't believe it! Gabe and I did notice Jack was always sticking his finger on that side out his mouth but I wasn't expecting to just find a tooth! Such a big guy!! He didn't need any Tylenol with this one. :)
Some other things about Jack at this age...He loves shopping. Whether it's at the grocery store or the mall he never fusses. He is a people watcher. He drools constantly! It's not uncommon to change his shirt 3 times in a day. Along with that he sticks everything in his mouth! I can't leave anything unattended! He loves attention from anyone. I take him to daycare at the gym and he is one of their favorites. He plays with the toys and watches the bigger kids run around. One of the girls working told me, "Jack is the most chill baby we have in here". That made me feel good. :)  The last thing I ever wanted was a clingy kid.  Nap times are still a bit of a struggle. His first nap at 10 am is gold, but his afternoon nap is hit or miss. Somedays he drives me crazy because he is so tired but refuses to sleep. Once this kid is up he is go, go, go! We are exploring more food...he tried broccoli the other night. I can't say he liked it...this might be the first food that he doesn't like. He still eats his solid food 3 times a day and we have started to introduce sippy cups and Gerber graduates puffs at meal times. He likes the puffs (even though most end up stuck to him) and he is getting the hang of drinking out of a cup. The puffs are the best thing to keep him occupied at a restaurant. All his toys end up on the floor in the first 30 seconds but the puffs can hold his attention for a while.
This little guy changes every day! I am so lucky to be home during the summer to watch him grow and develop. :)
What a show off...only using 1 hand! :)

I love it when he gets excited!

He was trying to get the light on my camera.

I couldn't move back fast enough!

Always smiling at Dad

Gotta give some love to Roxy

Now it's time to stand again...
